Casa Canareggio, Venice

There is no home without a soul, and in Venice the soul takes on singular forms. Here, on the site of a former, the project emerges from the idea of creating living surfaces, realized in cocciopesto and natural materials.
The interiors engage in dialogue with the client’s art collection — works by Spalletti and Kosuth coexist with deep chromatic surfaces and artisanal details that evoke a Moorish atmosphere, reflected in mother-of-pearl boiserie and hand-crafted Tunisian tiles.
The project pays homage to the teachings of Valeriano Pastor and to the Venetian school of Scarpa, where materiality, light, and craftsmanship converge in a poetic architectural narrative.
