In Milan’s Quartiere del Sarto, designed by Giovanni Broglio between 1922 and 1924, the project reinterprets the theme of the bourgeois villa through a contemporary lens.
Conceived for an Italian family returning from Hong Kong, the residence marries Milanese restraint with measured Asian accents. The interiors unfold vertically around the historic staircase, painted in midnight blue and enriched with gilded highlights.
Light and natural materials enter into a dialogue with the owners’ collections — from contemporary art to fine wines — within a tailored design that shapes space around the rhythms and life of its inhabitants.
